Where I get all metaphysical and stuff.

Many of my friends consult them regularly. Apparently ALL Beverly Hills Housewives have them. So when I was offered the chance to speak with an advisor from Psychic Source for free, of course I pounced on it. The past 9 months of my life have been a whirlwind of change for my family – new jobs, new home, new schools, new roles and new ventures. I will admit that I’ve been burning the candle at both ends, and I’ve been thinking a lot about how much longer I should (or even could) continue on this path, or if it was time to stop and change directions.

For my consultation, I had 10 minutes, but I was told I could speak to more than one psychic advisor as long as I kept within the time allotted. I had no idea how it would work, and being skeptical, I expected that the psychic would try to engage me longer than my 10 minutes would allow. Not quite the case. The first psychic I spoke with noted her ability to give specific time frames… and that she did. She went as far as to give me specific dates as to which I can expect things to shift. She gave me good news, the news that I wanted to hear, and the conversation seemed to be over.

But my interest was now piqued. I wanted more.  Taking my psychic induced adrenaline rush and remaining 6 minutes of free-psychic time, I scrolled through the list of advisers to see what a different one may say.

Psychic #2 claimed to be more metaphysical/spiritual. She actually asked for my birthday and verbally asked permission from my spirit guides to access information. While this initially made me roll my eyes, DAMN, this chick hit the nail on the head with her “reading”. I asked her the same question as I asked the first and I was thrilled when she said the EXACT same thing and even gave the same general dates as Psychic #1. But this one delved deeper and asked questions about things she was “seeing”… things that were DEAD ON.

She mentioned something about “my angels”, and since I do believe that my Grandma is my angel looking over me (in some sense… it’s a whole other story), I asked her to explain more. While she explained that her “angels” are not the typical “angels,” she talked quickly about the various levels of spirits that guide us. According to her, I have one particularly strong “low-level” spirit guide; A Buddhist monk who’s been key in guiding me “for many lifetimes.” Um. Ok…. And while she doesn’t see his exact form, he comes across to her as a “very bright turquoise light.”

According to Psychic #2 I myself have underlying physic abilities that I haven’t fully come into yet. Apparently, 2012 is going to be a big year for me as I come into these abilities. So, maybe next year you will all be coming to ME for readings. Maybe next year I’ll be the creepy girl at the dinner party puffing on a fake cigarette.

The million dollar question is the truth behind it all. Do you hear what you want to hear? Are they telling us all the same thing? Will I alter my life choices based on what I’ve been told is going to happen, thereby initiating the changes myself? Do these people have a special gift or are they just performers that are adept at being able to figure out what people want to hear?

No clue, but I’ll guess I’ll be able to tell you in 2012…
